Player Barometer 2009 published

The Creation of Game Cultures project produced a comprehensive survey of various types of game playing in Finland, and published the key findings in early October under title Player Barometer 2009. The study finds out that more than half of the Finns (51 %) are active “digital players”, meaning that they play some kind of digital game at least once a month. When one takes also non-digital game and play forms into consideration, almost everyone (98 %) of the informants of the 1169 person survey reported at least some kind of game playing. More information in Finnish (also with a short English abstract) can be downloaded from here: http://tampub.uta.fi/tulos.php?tiedot=303.
